The ECM system (Continuing Medical Education) is the tool designed to ensure continuous professional development, aimed at improving clinical, technical, and managerial skills, and supporting the professional conduct of healthcare practitioners. The goal is to guarantee effectiveness, appropriateness, safety, and efficiency in the healthcare services provided by the National Health Service for the benefit of citizens.
Accreditation is based on a system of minimum requirements considered essential for delivering training activities (ECM).

- Drafting of contracts with sponsors

- Preparation, printing, and subsequent evaluation of satisfaction and learning assessment questionnaires
- Assignment of training credits
- Preparation and printing of ECM certificates and distribution to entitled participants
- Submission of reports to Agenas and CoGeAPS
- Archiving and storage of ECM documentation for 5 years
